What we’re looking for Cross River is seeking a Quality Control Specialist on the Operations Governance team to oversee client onboarding. A qualified candidate must have extensive knowledge of required business account documentation, applicable laws, banking regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, the Office of Foreign Assets Control and Know Your Customer procedures. Responsibilities will include oversight of the customer onboarding process, account opening process, compliance with BSA/AML regulations, enhanced due diligence, periodic account reviews, revising procedures, and risk rating verification. Responsibilities: Review of Due Diligence after account opening including required business documentation and risk rating. Ongoing review of Due Diligence requirements, including periodic account activity reviews. Reviewing KYC profiles to ensure the client and account are both detailed with the proper information and whether the information supports the industry and account structure of the client. Assist with oversight and quality assurance reviews for complex entity structures and high-risk clients. Provide guidance and training as needed with regard to client documentation, KYC, CIP, and other onboarding, reporting, or due diligence requirements. Review procedures and make recommendations for enhancements. Qualifications: At least three years of branch banking or BSA/AML compliance experience. Strong communication, analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills to effectively understand the client’s nature of business and activity and be able to understand and document complex client entity structures. Knowledge of laws applicable to money laundering, including the Bank Secrecy Act, The USA Patriot Act, U.S. Treasury AML guidelines, OFAC and PEP requirements, Suspicious Activity Reporting, and Currency Transaction Reporting requirements. Must be able to perform job function independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on their own or as part of a team. Ability to work effectively in a multi-task, high-volume environment. Able to manage ad hoc project task and meet deadlines on project timelines. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
