Fonbnk is a new distributed finance company enabling a frictionless, financial onramp for emerging markets. Leveraging the existing network of mobile phone accounts, anyone with a prepaid mobile SIM card can now have access to the global digital economy. We are driving financial inclusion through digital access for the nearly 2-billion humans who are unbanked.
Fonbnk is seeking an early career professional (2-3 years) to join our engineering team to build new features that improve existing Fonbnk products. You will help build the next generation of systems to make cryptocurrency accessible to everyone across the globe (Web 3.0), operating real-time applications with high frequency, low latency updates, keeping the platform safe from fraud, enabling delightful experiences, and managing secure infrastructure running in the cloud.
What you'll be doing:
Work with engineers, designers, product managers, and leadership to turn our product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap regularly.
Write high quality, well-tested code to meet the needs of your customers
What we look for in you:
You’ve worked with Golang, TypeScript, Solidity, Postgres, Terraform, Google Cloud. (Required)
You have experience writing production-ready Node.js backend code. (Required)
You have experience with REST-ful APIs for internal and external products
Experience in building and deploying applications to Google Cloud Platform or any cloud service provider.
Experience with MongoDB or other database technology.
You write high-quality, well-tested code to meet the needs of your customers.
You're excited about hard problems and getting things done.
You are self-motivated and committed to personal growth.

Nice to haves:
Familiarity with cryptocurrency as well as regulated financial services businesses
