What We’re Looking For Cross River is looking for a Summer Analyst or Associate (for graduate-level candidates) to join the Capital Markets team in the summer of 2023. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the team across all loan sale, asset purchase, and securitization activities. Working closely with other teams in the Capital Solutions Group (CSG), this member of the Capital Markets team will also help oversee and manage CRB’s current loan portfolio (>1.5Bn in credit) and help develop insights on the bank’s position in the broader ABS market. The Summer Analyst will gain direct exposure to the leading fintech platforms in the consumer lending space. The ideal candidate will be passionate about wanting to understand how these fintech companies operate and will possess a diverse skillset, as well as deep curiosity with a willingness to learn. Responsibilities: Support active Capital Markets transactions —including but not limited to on-going loan sales, asset purchases, and securitization initiatives Analyze consumer loan datasets of varying size and complexity in order to inform pricing, portfolio management, and strategy Work with internal teams (Quantitative Strategies Group, Asset Management, Product Management, Data Science) to execute on team initiatives Develop tools and best practices that can improve Capital Markets workflows and deliverables Qualifications: Intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn Degree in Finance, Economics, or Statistics is preferred, but all disciplines will be considered Anticipated graduation date: Fall 2023- Spring 2024 Advanced proficiency of MS Excel is a plus Past fixed income/structured products experience is helpful, but not required Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail #LI-JO1 Cross River is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
