WHAT YOU’LL DO: Develop and gain a deep understanding of our trading operations from front to end and become the subject matter expert for and on behalf of Compliance Department; Acting as sparring partner for the CCO, the MT, Trading and Tech as well as other internal stakeholders to make Optiver even better; Through your interest in our business and familiarity with technology, be able to design and lead implementation of solutions that are intelligent, efficient and compliant in a sensible manner with integrity; Analysing and assessing the strategic risks and opportunities arising from business development initiatives, the relevant developments in the market as well as regulatory framework in an accurate but pragmatic manner to enable business to grow in a controlled environment; Advising on strategic projects and as well as contribute to the implementation process; Contribute or lead inquiries from regulators and exchanges to ensure the company’s interests; Build bridges with other functions for solid communication lines to improve collaboration and bring Optiver to the next level; Assist in the preparation of other regulatory filings, including responses to inquiries; Maintain accurate compliance records that allow the team to quickly address potential areas of concern. WHO YOU ARE: Bachelor’s degree in related field; Minimum of five years’ experience in a Compliance function; Understanding of electronic trading, with a focus in options and futures, preferred; Ability to manage and prioritize multiple on-going projects in fast paced, high performing trading environment; Excellent eye for detail; Demonstrate a high level of integrity; Proactive approach to field internal questions and future regulations; Ability to operate effectively in a team environment; Knowledge of compliance regulation with respect to the SEC, FINRA, CME, and CFTC, preferred; Willingness to cross train in all areas of compliance and establish strong working relationships with exchanges, regulators and vendors; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Strong time management skills with an emphasis on follow-through; Experience with Schwab Compliance Technologies, Global Relay and FINRA Web CRD preferred.
